Nimbus Group is expanding its presence in Norway with the appointment of Grimstad Bådsenter AS, as dealer of Alukin brand boats in the Agder region on the Norwegian South Coast, Sörlandet.
Grimstad Bådsenter has previously been a dealer for Nimbus brand boats but is now expanding its offerings by also including boats from Nimbus Group’s Alukin brand.
In 2024, Nimbus Group signed a contract with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to develop a new workboat under the Alukin brand for the Swedish Armed Forces.
“The collaboration with Grimstad Bådsenter gives Alukin the opportunity to reach new customers in both the leisure boat and various commercial segments,” explained Jan-Erik Lindström, CEO of Nimbus Group.
“After the order from FMV, Nimbus Group sees great opportunities for Alukin going forward and intends to continue broadening the market for their products.”
The agreement continues Nimbus Group’s efforts to increase its presence in the Norwegian market.
In 2022, the Norwegian retailer Herholdt Andersen, based in the Oslofjord district, was acquired, and in 2023, the company acquired the dealership rights for Nimbus and Paragon brand boats from Gressvik Marina in Östfold.
Grimstad Bådsenter was founded in 1979 and has experience in the sales and service of motorboats and engines.
