Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding has launched its new Duchy 25 ahead of her global debut at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show.
The new Duchy weighs 2.5 tonnes and is suitable for towing by road trailer with features including an open-air cockpit with waterproof upholstery and room for up to six guests.
The cockpit also includes a table and day bed.
Other features include a fully-adjustable helm and companion seats with footrests and a front windscreen to shield from direct spray.
An additional spray hood and full cover may also be attached to provide extra protection from the elements.
Essential equipment
A cushion infill transforms the cockpit into an additional berth, complementing the seating that converts into a double V berth for two in the cabin below.
The cabin also includes a galley, complete with induction hob, sink and cupboard space.
There is also a tailored toolbox drawer fitted with essential equipment and an enclosed heads compartment incorporating an electric toilet, handheld hot shower, sink and storage.
The decks are laid with synthetic teak.
Speed and performance
The vessel is powered by an outboard engine with a power choice between 40hp and 200hp to suit personal requirements for speed and performance.
The outboard is flanked by two bathing platforms, with the back seat folding forwards.
Low side decks and stainless steel grab handles and railings enhance safety during manoeuvres.
The helm console features a 9in touchscreen Raymarine display, which enables all internal systems to be controlled using a digital switching system that is coded in-house.
Southampton International Boat Show takes place between 19 and 28 September 2025.
