Croatian maritime technology company Marservis has unveiled ECOcube, an autonomous waste collection and treatment station for marina and harbour vessel wastewater management.
ECOcube allows boat owners to independently dispose of solid waste and wastewater.
The system is solar-powered and equipped with vacuum-based wastewater removal, and features separate containers for PET/metal, glass, paper, and mixed waste.
Real-time insights
Depending on configuration, ECOcube can either store wastewater until collection or perform primary biological pretreatment and filtration, producing water suitable for boat cleaning or irrigation.
Sailors can locate the nearest ECOcube via a mobile app or the vessel’s integrated MFD system.
The system also offers live IoT monitoring, providing marinas with real-time insights into capacity, operational status, and maintenance schedules, ensuring efficient management even during peak season.
