Navicom is partnering with Lectrotab as the official distributor in France of the manufacturer’s trim tab systems.
The electronic systems are designed to offer an alternative to hydraulic actuators, providing precise flap adjustment and optimum lifting force.
A self-contained design makes them easy to install, and the cylinders housed in a non-metallic casing, sealed to prevent water ingress.
A double O-ring seal system provides protection against moisture and a vent valve adjusts pressure with each retraction to maximise durability.
Controls
The trim tabs are controlled by switches or joysticks equipped with LED indicators with automatic return to the last flap position. The controls are waterproof and UV-resistant.
They are compatible with the NMEA 2000 protocol and can be used on dual stations.
The connectivity enables real-time display on a multifunction screen, allowing for adjustment of the system during navigation.
The trim tabs are available in stainless steel or aluminium versions, depending on the boat’s requirements.
The stainless-steel trim tabs are manufactured from 304 stainless steel and are available in four sizes.
The aluminium tabs are manufactured from epoxy-coated 6005-T5 alloy and are 40% lighter than their stainless-steel equivalents.
