The 65th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show is set to have more than 1,000 boats on display when doors open on September 18 2025.
The show will have 23 new yards, exhibitors from 45 countries, 123 new products and 96 premieres.
In 2024, visitors experienced more than 3,800 sea trials and the show is expected to see at least this number in 2025.
“The true strength of the Genoa International Boat Show and its national and international authority on the global stage derive from the fact this event is organised by businesses for businesses,” said Piero Formenti, president of the show’s organisers, the Italian Marine Industry Association.

“All of whom recognise this as a context where markets open up, strategies are formed, industrial policies are formulated, and exclusive market data is analysed.”
In 2025, the show will feature an inaugural conference entitled ‘Development, Jobs And Innovation Driving Growth Across Italy’ with confirmed attendees including government ministers, the President of the Confederation of Italian Industry, Emanuele Orsini, the President of the Italian Trade Agency, Matteo Zoppas, and, for a boat show first, the Secretary of the State of Florida’s Department of Transportation, Jared Perdue.
“Boating is not just an essential sector of the Blue Economy, but also a strategic industry for Italy, which in the last ten years has seen exports grow by 119%, double the average for the entire manufacturing sector, to over €4.5 billion,” explained Piero Formenti.
Alongside the exhibition itself, several workshops will take place including the FORUM25 programme, sponsored by the European Commission, which includes more than 90 conferences and workshops.
Future, innovation and vision
Other events include the European Boating Roundtable, in collaboration with the European Boating Industry federation.
The topic of sustainability will be also discussed at the World Yachting Sustainability Forum followed by a round table on ESG criteria for the boating sector.
The sixth edition of the Design Innovation Award will have future, innovation and vision at its heart and the Blue Economy Industry Forum will see institutions, businesses and academia discuss concrete and shared objectives.
The show will also feature two training and work experience events for secondary school pupils.
Another new addition for this year’s edition is the TechTrade Days 2025 initiative dedicated to the latest industry developments, featuring more than 400 brands of boating equipment, accessories and components, dedicated to business, technology and professional networking.
