German shipyard MFH-Emden and Netherlands based NAZ-Schepen (NAZ-Ships) have merged, with effect from June 1 2025 to form the TWN Yachting brand.
MFH-Emden is known for its high-quality GRP/composite products for defense and industry and in recent years for the development of the Tide line of yachts.
NAZ-Schepen brings experience and knowledge of selling and producing custom-built sailing yachts.
Since 2004, the company has built more than 150 Noordkaper and Wanderer yachts – developed in close collaboration with Martin Bekebrede – at its DTB production yard in Istanbul, Turkey.
MFH-Emden and Netherlands based NAZ-Schepen (NAZ-Ships) will continue building vessels under the name TWN Yachting (Tide-Wanderer-Noordkaper Yachting) and will continue to build and produce these models at the DTB yard.
New vessels
The location will provide the merged company with space for the construction of new vessels, finishing, refit, repair, maintenance and winter storage.
By joining forces, the companies say they have createad a strong yacht building company that can take care of all aspects of yacht production from sales to delivery and maintenance of Noordkapers, Wanderers and Tide yachts.
NAZ-Schepen’s Chiel de Zeeuw will continue to work at TWN Yachting for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition.
Merged company
The new company will continue to produce the Tide line with Tide 25, Tide 34, and Tide 36 models continuing to be built at MFH’s yard in East Frisia, Germany.
In addition, there are plans for a Tide 24 M.
The newly merged company plans to continue production of the Wanderer 36 and Wanderer 40. There are also plans to expand the line of Wanderer yachts with a Wanderer-45 on the drawing board, and plans for the Wanderer 36-Azur have been completed.
The merger is aimed at creating a shipyard that can offer all services from sales, manufacturing, fitting out, repairs, maintenance, and winter storage with a focus on the European market.
