Hanjo Runde, chief executive officer of HanseYachts AG, has stepped down as the yard announces a new management organisation.
The German shipyard, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of sailing yachts and motorboats, will be led by a two-headed management team.
Holger Passauer has been appointed chief financial officer (CFO), also taking charge of production and human resources.
A new CEO will complete the new team by January 2026.
Passauer brings much experience in production optimisation and efficiency research from the automotive industry to his new role.
Technical and quality standards
The HanseYachts Supervisory Board believes this will strengthen the Group’s long-term economic reliability without compromising technical and quality standards.
Passauer says he is determined to turn the shipyard into a high-performance industrial player, while maintaining the Group’s historic expertise.
“I will do my utmost to ensure that Greifswald’s shipyard know-how has a sustainable economic future,” he said.
The company is now on the right track according to Andreas Müller, chairman of the board of shareholder S.D.L. Süddeutsche Leasing.
Reorganisation
In addition, the company also plans to invest further in its workforce after a period of reorganisation.
The company currently employs around 1,000 people at its Greifswald (Germany) and Goleniow (Poland) sites.
HanseYachts will show several models from its brands at the forthcoming boot Düsseldorf boat show taking place in January 2026.
The HanseYachts Group consists of several brands: Hanse, Dehler, Moody, Fjord, Sealine and Ryck, covering the cruising sailboat, high-end dayboat and compact motoryacht markets.
