Nautor Swan’s new Swan 80 has hit the water in a launching ceremony at the Finnish shipyard in Pietarsaari.
At just under 24 metres, the yacht is positioned as the entry point to the Swan Maxi range and a development of Nautor Swan’s Maxi philosophy.
The Swan 80 is designed by naval architect Germán Frers with exterior stylist Lucio Micheletti and interior designer Misa Poggi.
Features include clean volumes, a low profile coachroof and a long, uninterrupted deck.
Below deck, the interior layout can be flexible for either cruising comfort, guest-focused layouts or more open social configurations.
Twin rudders and twin helms provide control, while winches and controls are positioned for easy handling in both short-handed and fully crewed configurations.
Safety and redundancy
The construction combines foam-cored glass fibre reinforced epoxy with carbon fibre reinforcements.
Safety and redundancy are included throughout, from sacrificial rudder tips to sealed structural compartments and multiple keel options, including deep fixed, shallow and telescopic lifting configurations.
Aft, the cockpit can be transformed — from a protected cruising lounge to an open racing space or social terrace.
At anchor, the transom can be opened into a beach platform with access to the swimming area and tender garage.
Below deck, the first Swan 80 hull configuration features a forward master suite, a forward VIP cabin and two aft guest cabins, complemented by aft crew quarters with independent access.
Technical areas are integrated beneath the saloon sole.
The saloon itself has a versatile lounging area with TV and daybed and a dining space.
One of the guest cabins can also be converted into a media lounge or an additional dining area.
The new Swan 80 will make her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival and a sailing debut at the forthcoming Rolex Swan Cup.
