Faurby launches first Nordship yacht

Faurby yachts has launched its first Faurby 360 DS, an evolution of the Nordship 360 yacht.

The model is the first Nordship yacht to be built and marketed by the Danish shipyard under the Faurby name.

The companies have had a close relationship over the years. In 2018, Faurby Yachts became part of True Boat Builders, which also manufactures Nordship Yachts and Nordic Cruiser.

The development follows on from the departure of Lars Buchwald as MD of Nordship Yachts. Faurby Yachts is now taking over the business and the entire brand portfolio under the management of Thomas Hougaard.

The Faurby 360 DS is the 25th 260 hull built by Fauby Yachts and is the first Faurby Deck Saloon, and the first of a new Deck Saloon range, complementing the shipyard’s existing range of Faurby Performance Cruisers.

Fully electric

The yacht has a hull length of 11.5m with a waterline length of 10m and a width of 3.6m. The craft has a 1.8m draught.

The new yacht is fully electric with a Victron electrical system installed and a back-up generator. A conventional diesel engine is also available.

Converting to electric power has also enabled the yacht to have an electric cooker and grill rather than using gas.

Other key features include the installation of additional hull windows and a GRP sandwich construction with a foam core for the hull and deck. In addition, the hull has been reinforced with a continuous steel frame.

Customers are able to design their bespoke interior, choosing their layout, style and materials.

The yacht is powered by a two-reef rig from Seldén together with a self-tacking jib.

The new Faurby 360 DS will have its first appearance under the Faurby name at the Ancora Yacht Festival in Neustadt in Holstein, Germany, taking place from 23 to 25 May 2025.
