ExploMar and Kimple boats have expanded their partnership to launch the new Kimple E498 high-performance electric bass boat.
The partnership between electric outboard systems developer ExploMar, and fishing boat brand Kimple is aimed at promoting the high-performance electric bass boats across nearly 50 countries and regions.
The E498 is Kimple’s flagship model and measures 4.98 meters in length. It is equipped with ExploMar’s self-developed WAVE 70+ electric outboard paired with their 60kWh battery pack.
The craft has similar dimensions and battery capacity as that of Kimple’s Model 3, and has a cruising range of more than 100km.

In addition to the E498 partnership, ExploMar and Kimple have also co-founded the High-Performance Electric Bass Chamber in China.
Electric fishing
This initiative brings together partners across the supply chain to develop and scale electric fishing scenarios.
The collaboration now uses Kimple’s sales network and ExploMar’s electric propulsion experience, designed to accelerate the global adoption of sustainable solutions in bass fishing.
Kimple CEO Fan Tingxiang added: “In the future, we’ll continue working with ExploMar to explore and apply a wider range of electric outboard systems across different fishing boat models — creating benchmark products for diverse waters and fishing needs, and leading the industry into a greener tomorrow.”
ExploMar was founded in 2021 and exports to more than 20 countries and regions. The company’s electric outboard systems are available in 70hp, 150hp and 300hp models.
