De Wave Group is to invest €10 million as it transfers its four manufacturing hubs out of Monfalcone to a single location in nearby Villesse.
The investment includes the purchase of 25,000sqm of covered space and 110,000sqm of uncovered space, with the desire to accelerate its expansion in the high-end yachting sector.
The €10 million investment covers the cost of the facility and its reorganisation, with plans being made to build a new, less impactful facility, as well as community facilities, such as sports fields and a gym.
The company, which carries out outfitting for cruise ships and luxury yachts, is headquartered in Genoa, and says the move will stabilise operations and build for the future by restructuring the organisational structure.
Around 200 employees will be based in the new Villesse facilities with operations covering project management, logistics, carpentry, cabin panel production, and refrigeration systems, which are managed by De Wave subsidiary Tecnavi.
The purchase of new facilities comes as the Group targets revenues of €520 million and reveals it has a pipeline of ten years worth of work including the order backlog and forecasts for construction progress.
In 2025, the Group saw revenues of €450 million, with an EBITDA margin of 50%.
Yacht business
The Group plans to hire 150 new people over the next two years, to support the increased production output and to strengthen aftersales services, with growth primarily in the yacht business.
It also has a €50 million investment plan that will support its acquisition strategy over the next three years, develop the Villesse facilities, renovate the Electrical Marine plant, expand IVM – both companies that were acquired in 2025 – and finance any further M&A transactions.
“2026 is a year of recovery after the recent years’ gluttony, but we’ll restart with another round of acquisitions starting in 2027,” said CEO Riccardo Pompili.
“The strategy is to create a supply chain that covers the entire accommodation system, especially in terms of facilities.
“The challenge of integration and acquiring a dominant position has been met.
“Now we need to create efficiency and stability, but we have sectors we don’t yet cover, and we’re very proactive.”
De Wave has international operations spanning several production sites and employs more than 1,400 professionals.
