Catana Catamarans has launched its new brand SEATY, a diversification into floating homes which are accessible, environmentally friendly and modular.
The new modules have been developed to be self-contained, habitable, comfortable and configurable, and are available in residential or professional versions.
They are based on a catamaran structure and incorporate Catana’s 40 years of technological and industrial experience.
The diversification is aimed at making SEATY a world leader in the construction of floating homes at sea.
The modules are suitable for installation on calm waters such as bays, ports, rivers, or canals, and will be suitable for use as residential or office spaces, billed as offering ‘an innovative and sustainable alternative to traditional real estate’.
Sustainable production
The modules will be manufactured at the Catana Group factory at Aveiro, Portugal, chosen to ensure reliable, controlled and sustainable production.
“SEATY was created in response to growing demand in the outdoor leisure market,” explained Boris Compagnon, sales and marketing director at Catana Group.
“A demand which Catana Group is able to meet in terms of innovation, services and industrialisation.
“Our core business is catamarans and only catamarans, for going fast and going far, or simply for enjoying aquatic environments and living as well at sea as on inland waterways.”
The first SEATY module will be unveiled at the Grand Pavois La Rochelle 2025 taking place from September 23 to 28.
