AtlantiCraft and BlueNav partner on hybrid model

AtlantiCraft RIBs and BlueNav have partnered to develop a hybrid configuration for the boatbuilder’s flagship model, the BlackPearl 7.00.

The model will be presented for the first time at Nice Boating Tomorrow.

AtlantiCraft says it has seen a clear evolution in the expectations of both professionals and recreational boaters, with greater precision, less noise, more control, and a growing focus on environmental impact being requested.

“It is in this context that our collaboration with BlueNav, a French specialist in intelligent electric propulsion solutions and Virtual Anchors, was born,” said a spokesperson from AtlantiCraft.

“The BlackPearl 7.00 was designed to meet the needs of professional fishermen and marine operators.

“In practice, a large portion of navigation time is spent at low speeds: approaching fishing areas, positioning, controlled drift and harbour manoeuvres.”

Evolution of boating

The BlueNav-developed engine integrates smart navigation features including virtual anchor, drift lock to control drift while fishing, waypoint tracking and cruise control suitable for these uses.

The configuration consists of a main combustion engine combined with two 8kW BlueNav electric motors.

“More than just a new model, the BlackPearl 7.00 x BlueNav demonstrator embodies a pragmatic approach to the evolution of boating: integrating innovation where it brings real, measurable and immediately useful value,” added the spokesperson.

“This collaboration illustrates the ability of two French companies to offer a concrete, operational solution adapted to the requirements on the ground.”

The RIBs are constructed from aluminum with the integration of the retractable electric propulsion system.

Nice Boating Tomorrow takes place from March 19 to 22 2026.
