An $80 million redevelopment project at Florida’s Port 32 Palm Beach Gardens – PGA Marina – has begun.
The 50-year-old marina has been demolished and will be replaced with a taller, modern one with more space for boat storage and 57 more dry slips for boats.
Operators plan to reopen the facility in December 2026.
The revamped marina will be the the flagship location of South Carolina based Port 32 Marinas, a company that also owns nine other marinas.
The project will modernise the facility to meet new boating standards and meet market demands.
Construction crews are currently completing foundation, utility and seawall work, before a steel structure is built to hold dry marina slips.
This brand is being built for the boat of the next 30 years.

“The size of boats has grown so much,” said Austin Schell, Port 32’s chief executive officer.
“There is a shortage of slips, especially for larger vessels. This brand is being built for the boat of the next 30 years, not the last 30 years, which means larger and wider boats.”
The project includes replacing around 600 feet of existing seawall and 1,000 feet of floating docks, installing two new pre-engineered metal buildings, a state-of-the-art ship store built with cast-in-place concrete, and installing new fuel tanks and dispensers.
The construction will be able to withstand category 5 storm winds.
The marina will also reopen with a total of 471 boat slips, including 451 dry slips and 20 wet slips.
Boat storage
The two buildings will stand at 83ft high, 37ft higher than the previous building and will be used for boat storage, showrooms and office space.
A third, smaller 5,000sqft building will be a ship’s store with fuelling stations for boats that can dock directly at the building.
There will also be work bays to meet member needs, improvements to road access will also be made, enhancing transportation and logistics to the marina.
Work is being carried out by Miller Construction Company.
The city’s approval process for the marina renovations took nearly seven years.
