Investigation underway into fire at Sirena Yachts shipyard

An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire which broke out in the chemical warehouse at the Sirena Yachts shipyard near Bursa in Turkey.

An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire which broke out in the chemical warehouse at the Sirena Yachts shipyard near Bursa in Turkey.

No boats are said to have been damaged during the incident which took place early on Wednesday August 7 before workers arrived.

Thick smoke and flames were quickly bought under control by fire crews with efforts put in place to prevent the fire from spreading to the rest of the factory.

There were no injuries.

Sirena Yachts is part of the Sirena Marine Group which produces semi-displacement yachts, from 14m to 50m, as part of the Sirena Superyachts series.

Sirena Yachts produces the moulds, decks and hulls for its craft at the Bursa facilities.
