Highfield Boats, in association with Burin Boats, has partnered with the Barcelona 55 sailing event, providing a fleet of inflatable RIBs for on-the-water support.
The regatta, billed as the largest sailing race in the world was held on Italy’s Gulf of Trieste and attracted more than 1,800 entries. It is the latest in a line-up of global events partnered by Highfield RIB fleets.
“The Barcolana is one of the highlights of the European racing calendar for thousands of yachting enthusiasts,” said Mathilde Delfour, Highfield Europe MD. “We are very proud to have this amazing opportunity to showcase our range to them and to demonstrate the capabilities that Highfield Boats is renowned for.”
Most recently the company’s Official Supporter status was confirmed between Highfield France and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games with 90-plus boats to be delivered for a range of roles.
Highfield Boats has also seen its craft used by security, press, photographers and race organisations at the Vendée Globe, the Route Du Rhum and other international yachting events such as the Extreme Sailing Series and TP52 circuit.
Throughout Barcolana 55, the fleet of 18 Highfield boats equipped with Honda engines were used for press, hospitality and the organisation of the race.
The RIBs included Highfield’s Sport and Patrol models ranging from the 660 to the 900.
Mathilde added: “As previously we are once again pairing the Highfield brand with an organisation that shares our values of hard work and excellence while delivering quality but remembering that the ultimate goal is about enjoying time on the water.”
