Flexiteek invests in new HQ and production facilities

Flexiteek International AB has officially opened its new headquarters in Fagersta, Sweden.

The move into the new premises comes after the company spent more than 23 years in its original production facility and represents a ‘significant investment’ by Flexiteek and owners Watrium.

The new 1,400m² facility will provide a growing global production capacity to support the groups’ other manufacturing hubs in the UK and Poland.

Alongside the production capacity, the new building also houses a large-scale warehouse and new team offices.

“We are very excited to be moving to our new home in Fagersta,” said Tomas Gustafsson, CEO at Flexiteek.

“The new building is incredibly energy efficient and will help us to meet our sustainability obligations. It will also help to improve our productivity allowing us to meet the increased demand for our products around the world.”

The new facilities support Flexiteek’s sustainability strategy with the new location developed using advanced energy technology including a ground source heat pump system with six ground boreholes of around 200m in depth that produce heat.

Energy is also created from the rooftop solar panel array, helping to make the building energy efficient.

There is also an energy-efficient product warming room to help improve the preparation process for the production of a new deck.

Team facilities have been incorporated with a new team room, changing facilities with showers, and a sauna.

The new HQ also includes 150m² of office and conference room facilities.
