Rapsody Yachts has shown its new V-Foil technology at the Hiswa te Water boat show.
The new foiling technology has been designed to eliminate trim and reduce water resistance for enhanced efficiency, stability, and speed.
The V-Foil technology made its debut on the all-new Rapsody R35 due to be launched this autumn.
“With this innovation, we have brought the sailing performance and efficiency of a catamaran into a monohull motorboat,” explained Diederik van Golen of Rapsody Yachts.
And he explained that the V-Foil technology provides the usual benefits of foiling but does so invisibly, allowing the yacht to retain its traditional beauty.
Unlike traditional foiling, where the vessel is lifted above the water, the V-Foil elevates the boat within the water. This invisible lift preserves the signature aesthetic of the Rapsody hull.
The V-Foil has been engineered in collaboration with Simonis Voogd Design exclusively to Rapsody.
The technology is designed as a platform, enabling it to also be applied to future Rapsody models.
