Coastside Engineering Services has moved to Falmouth Harbour’s new Marine Hub.
The business was set up in 2023 by Joel Thomas and Chris Powell who between them have 30 years of marine engineering experience.
“Joel and I have always had a deep love of all things marine-related. We both grew up on the coast, and boating was and is a key part of our lives,” explained Chris.
“We have now spent over 30 years between us in the marine industry working with some incredible people and the skills we have learnt along the way have allowed us to launch our own business.”
The team handles everything from minor repairs and essential boat servicing and winterising, to detailed diagnostics and full boating setup.
Prior to moving the business to the Marine Hub, the company was based at another harbour.
Joel added: “Chris and I are thrilled to be a part of the Marine Hub for Falmouth at this time of incredible growth for the harbour.
“The Falmouth Harbour team have such a drive and passion and they’re at the forefront of new technologies and innovations for the marine sector in Cornwall.”
And Falmouth Harbour’s head of commercial operations, Holly Manvell, added: “We are building a unique community of like-minded marine service businesses right in the heart of Falmouth – a town steeped in maritime history and influence.
