Jordan’s Ayla Marina has been awarded the Yacht Harbour Association’s Clean Marinas certification.
The marina says the recognition reflects its dedication to adhering to global regulations and maintaining high standards of efficiency and quality.
The certification is a testament to Ayla’s proactive approach to environmental preservation and its commitment to sustainable practices.
Adel Maani’ani, marina manager at Ayla Development Company, extended his gratitude to all the staff at Ayla for their dedication to upholding environmental standards.
And he emphasised that the recognition is the result of Ayla’s ongoing efforts to design and develop a sustainable, residential, and recreational destination that embodies its vision of preserving natural resources.
And he further noted that the international certification demonstrates Ayla’s strong confidence in its commitment to environmental stewardship.
“This achievement reaffirms our long-term commitment to continuous improvement, sustainable marina management, and maintaining Ayla’s leadership in the local community,” he said. “It also underscores our dedication to sustainability and the preservation of unique ecosystems.”
The Clean Marinas certification, launched at the Southampton International Boat Show in 2021, is part of an international program that helps marinas demonstrate their commitment to environmental preservation and pollution prevention both on the coast and inland.
Ayla has implemented various strategies including waste management, resource conservation, and a training program for employees, visitors, and the local community on marine environment protection.
These efforts are complemented by the use of modern technologies to minimise environmental impact.
Ayla Marina located on the Red Sea, holds a Blue Flag award and provides 231 wet berths for vessels up to 40m long.
