Arksen acquires Kraken Travel

Arksen has acquired marine adventure company Kraken Travel.

The move paves the way for the launch of Arksen Adventures, a new initiative that will offer a range of land and sea expeditions.

“Starting life as a marine adventure company, Arksen has always had a passion for the ocean,” said Jasper Smith, Arksen founder and CEO.

“By joining forces with Kraken Travel, we are accelerating our ability to offer extraordinary adventures while maintaining our commitment to protecting the environments we cherish. “We are inspired by true adventurers, and our goal is to build an Arksen community that takes our products to the wildest parts of the planet and creates inspirational stories.”

Expedition director of the new venture will be military and expedition professional Jay Morton who will head Arksen’s expedition itinerary, aimed at exploring some of the planet’s most remote and pristine environments while supporting scientific research and conservation initiatives.

At Kraken, we seek to sustainably promote sailing in natural environments for everyone.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to utilise my experience and expand into adventure travel, giving people the opportunity to experience what Arksen is all about,” said Jay. “Adventure and the outdoor world have brought great joy and fulfilment to my life, and it’s been a passion of mine to share that with others.”

The acquisition of Kraken Travel represents a step forward in Arksen’s evolution from an adventure products company to an outdoor lifestyle brand.

Henry Burkitt, founder of Kraken Travel and CEO of Arksen Adventures, added: “At Kraken, we seek to sustainably promote sailing in natural environments for everyone, and we believe that we are under an obligation to leave the world in a better state than when we found it.

“Joining forces with Arksen allows us to extend our reach and continue our mission of connecting people with the ocean in a responsible and meaningful way.”
