Sharrow Engineering and its marine division, Sharrow Marine, are to expand into a new 60,000sqft manufacturing facility in Detroit.
The new facility will more than triple the company’s production footprint and will enable Sharrow to scale its manufacturing capacity to up to 2,000 units per month to meet global demand for its Sharrow Propeller.
The facility is expected to be fully operational by December 2025, with production starting at the new base in September 2025.
The expansion follows the company’s recent relocation of its headquarters to Newlab at Michigan Central, a leading hub for innovation and mobility in Metro Detroit.
The company says these milestones solidify its commitment to American manufacturing and its hometown of Detroit as it scales to serve growing demand across marine, commercial, defence, and aerospace markets.
“This expansion is a powerful statement about the future of propulsion technology and American manufacturing,” said Greg Sharrow, founder and CEO of Sharrow Engineering.
We’re proud to grow our footprint in Detroit and continue building the most advanced propellers the world has ever seen.
