Bryton Marine Group acquires BC marina

Bryton Marine Group has acquired Freshwater Marina in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada.

The marina will now operate under the Bryton Marine Group umbrella which also includes Campbell River’s EagleCraft Boats.

The purchase follows on from Bryton Marine Group’s acquisition of Alumacraft from BRP earlier in 2025 and aligns with the group’s long-term goals to build the highest premium aluminum boats, said Bryton.

In addition, acquiring the marina will enhance the manufacturing capacity growth plan for EagleCraft Boats.

“We are very excited about this acquisition,” said Byron Bolton, the company’s CEO.

“This investment in Campbell River reinforces our commitment to the community and further aligns with our purpose to enrich local and maritime communities for future generations.”

New facility

Torry Wannenwetsch, MD of EagleCraft, said the marina will remain unchanged in the short term. However, there are plans to eventually build a new facility.

“The reason our group acquired it was to support the growth of EagleCraft as we’ve outgrown our current facility here in Campbell River,” he said. “Acquiring the marina is the just the first step.”

Once a new marina is built, it will increase manufacturing capacity and job opportunities in the community.

Bryton Marine Group is North America’s largest family-owned builder of aluminum boats.

The Group specialises in aluminum boats from 14 to 150ft with the brands serving commercial, government, recreational sportfishing, and adventure boat markets in North America.

Bryton’s brands include All American Marine, Alumacraft, BRIX Marine, Duckcraft, EagleCraft, Kingfisher Boats and Weldcraft.
