Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts is reporting booming sales with 11 yachts under construction and deliveries through to 2027.
During 2025, five deliveries are anticipated, including Serena, Orion, Venus, Agnetha, and Frida, yachts in the 50 – 57m range and custom projects up to 80m in length.
“Geopolitical dynamics and economic trends continue to shape the superyacht industry,” said a spokesperson from Heesen.
“As global economies navigate complexities, the demand for personalised luxury experiences grows, driving innovation across the market.”
In January 2025, Heesen launched the 55m steel yacht Solemates, previously code-named Project Venus.
Solemates will now enter the commissioning phase in preparation for her maiden voyage to the North Sea, where she will undergo sea trials.
The launch of Solemates illustrates our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and innovative design.

Interior customisation is being managed by Heesen’s interior engineers in collaboration with Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture.
Together, they aim to deliver a space that reflects the owner’s preferences using a vibrant colour scheme, incorporating lime greens, teal, and baby aqua blue, to complement a family-friendly concept.
Features of the yacht include a redesigned main staircase, with acrylic panels embedded with gold flakes and crystals.
The bridge deck salon has been designed to promote family gatherings, while the sundeck has an expanded jacuzzi and adjacent bar.
Heesen’s project team has incorporated a series of enhancements throughout the design, working in collaboration with the owner’s team.
The focus remains on maximising the family experience with dedicated leisure, entertainment, and relaxation spaces.
“The launch of Solemates illustrates our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and innovative design,” said Heesen Yachts’ CEO, Niels Vaessen. “We take pride in creating yachts that not only meet but exceed the aspirations of our clients.”
Newest addition
Solemates is set to make her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2025. Delivery of the superyacht is set for Q2 2025.
The shipyard has also announced the sale of the newest addition to its 55m steel series, Project Angelica.
The yacht has a fast displacement hull form, developed by Van Oossanen and engineered by Heesen’s in-house team.
Project Angelica is powered by two MTU 8V4000 M63 IMO III engines, each delivering 1,000kW, to provide a top speed of 15.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles when cruising at 13 knots.
“The Heesen 55-metre series offers an exceptional platform for clients to express their individuality and achieve their ambitions,” said Ruud van der Stroom, chief commercial officer of Heesen Yachts.
“It combines striking exterior design, outstanding seaworthiness, and unmatched Dutch craftsmanship.
“The interior volumes are among the largest in their class, and the quality of workmanship is unparalleled.”
He added: “We are thrilled to welcome this client to the Heesen family and look forward to creating a superyacht that will be a remarkable addition to our fleet.”
