The inaugural Foiling World will take place at boot Düsseldorf 2025, showing the latest equipment and foiling technologies, debates and lectures.
Foiling World is supported by boot and The Foiling Organization in collaboration with global foiling sports and industry players, clubs and organisers.
Many of the sessions of Foiling World program are the result of a collaboration between The Foiling Organization and the European Boating Industry and are part of the Blue Innovation Dock – Transforming the boating industry for a sustainable future – shaping proactive solutions.
Key highlights of Foiling World – taking place in Hall 15 – will be two AC40 simulators, futuristic equipment produced by McConaghy Boats, made available thanks to America’s Cup teams Emirates Team New Zealand and AC Team Germany for all those who wish to test their skills.
The latest e-foil technology from the IMOCA class will be on show together with Candela’s flying electric boats.

There will also be talks with professional sailors Dee Caffari, Elizabeth Tucker and Cole Brauer (live from the Indian Ocean).
“We are seeing more foiling every year, and I am excited to share more about this aspect of our sport which is growing in popularity, participation, and performance across the whole spectrum of water mobility,” said Dee who will give a keynote speech together with founder and president of The Foiling Organization Luca Rizzotti.
The launch of the MW40 Offshore Foiler racing yacht, designed by Wilson-Marquinez Naval Architects, in collaboration with Sailing Architect marketing and development agency is scheduled for January 18th.
The design for the 12.2m yacht from Wilson-Marquinez was first shown in 2021 with the boat now ready to be built.
Onsite at Foiling World and online via Virtual Regatta and Discord, E-sailing will be the focus of attention in partnership with the Swedish Sailing Federation, Royal Swedish Yacht Club and Tristan Peron eSailing world champion.
On January 23 Foiling World will host a round table to bring together national sailing federations, organisers, sponsors and other key actors in the industry to discuss the next steps in e-sailing.
And on January 24, Foiling World will host the presentation of the OD Metis 45, the new foiling racer conceived by Sangiorgio Marine owner and engineer Edoardo Bianchi with designer Gianluca Guelfi.
The six crew craft is designed to fill the gap between the 40 footers and the IMOCA 60.
boot Düsseldorf 2025 takes place from January 18 to 26.
