Superyacht trade associations to help provide METSTRADE roadmap

METSTRADE has established a new Superyacht Content Board, aimed at fostering stronger ties with significant associations in the superyacht sector.

The move that follows on from the recent acquisition of The Superyacht Forum and will help METSTRADE address the superyacht supply chain requirements.

The show aims to engage key industry associations to shape the show’s agenda and deliver content that drives the superyacht industry forward.

The board consists of leading trade associations in superyacht building, brokerage, refit, and operations who will meet biannually in April/May and November during METSTRADE.

“The establishment of the Superyacht Content Board underscores the exceptional relationship between METSTRADE and the superyacht industry,” said Niels Klarenbeek, director of METSTRADE. “METSTRADE is renowned for its ‘for the industry, by the industry’ ethos. I am confident that the Superyacht Content Board will enhance our Superyacht Pavilion, its educational components, and fringe events.”

Over the last few years, the Superyacht Pavilion (SYP) at METSTRADE has grown and is now the fastest-growing segment of the B2B event for leisure marine professionals.

Organisers are planning for upcoming editions with expansion plans that will add another dimension to the event, focusing on superyacht advancements and innovation.

The Superyacht Content Board met for its inaugural meeting at the beginning of May 2024 to provide guidance to METSTRADE organisers, particularly in relation to the Superyacht Pavilion and The Superyacht Forum, with a focus on the most recent industry advancements.

The members of the Superyacht Content Board are: International Council of Marine Industry Associations, International Yacht Brokers Association, MYBA The Yachting Association, Professional Yachting Association, Superyacht Builders Association, The Superyacht Alliance and The International Association of Marine Investigators.
