Chantiers AMEL has announced the launch of the new AMEL 50.2, which will receive its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.
The new yacht is designed by Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design as an evolution of the AMEL 50.
The yacht has a slightly wider hull, reverse bow and modernised hull shape with particular attention paid to performance and behaviour at sea.
The cockpit retains one of AMEL’s key signatures: a central, deep and protected layout, redesigned to make manoeuvres and movement on board easier.
The hardtop supports have also been moved aft to improve visibility.
Designed with sailing in mind
“Everything feels natural on this boat; it just falls into place,” said Olivier Racoupeau of Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design.
“Whether in its proportions or in its use, it is a fully accomplished yacht.”
On board the AMEL 50.2 the owner’s aft cabin has been redesigned to offer greater privacy, with a bed facing aft and a more cocooning atmosphere.
Movement on board has also been designed with sailing in mind, with handrails integrated into open passageways in order to combine aesthetics, usability and safety.
“The intention was to create a cocoon, a cosy place where you feel good, where you can relax. An interior of well-being and serenity,” explained Isabelle Racoupeauthe interior designer.
The AMEL 50.2 is designed to be handled by two people and can accommodate up to six guests.
