Parker Boats appoints new president

Whitman Barnes has officially assumed the role of president at Parker Boats.

Whitman succeeds Scott Bauer, whose leadership helped guide Parker through a period of continued growth and brand development.

As president, Whitman will lead Parker through its next chapter of growth while continuing to honour the values and culture that have defined the company for decades.

He brings a combination of strategic vision and financial leadership to the role and having already worked closely with the Parker team, dealer network and Correct Craft leadership, steps into the position with an appreciation for the company’s heritage and customer loyalty.

“Parker has built an incredible reputation over generations for producing boats that are dependable, capable and purpose-built for serious boaters,” said Whitman.

Strong foundation

“Being raised around this prestigious brand, I’m honoured to step into this role and continue building on the strong foundation already in place.

“Our focus remains on supporting our dealers and customers while continuing to grow the Parker brand and creating compelling products that will last a lifetime.”

Scott added: “Whitman understands both the business and the people behind the brand.”

“His thoughtful leadership style, strategic mindset and commitment to Parker’s long-term success make him the right person to lead the company forward.”

Parker builds offshore and inshore fishing boats in Beaufort, North Carolina and is a subsidiary of Correct Craft.
