Aquavista has completed a major £1.3 million redevelopment at its Nottingham Castle Waterside & Marina.
The investment has enhanced the UK marina’s facilities, infrastructure and customer experience.
The redevelopment programme has included the full replacement of the marina’s pontoons with durable, anti-slip GRP mesh Duradeck installed by pontoon specialists Solent Marine.
New utility bollards and upgraded safety equipment have also been installed, alongside a reconfiguration of the marina layout to provide 156 berths.
The marina’s facilities building has undergone a complete refurbishment, delivering five new luxury ensuite bathrooms, upgraded Wi-Fi, enhanced CCTV coverage and improvements to the wet dock facilities.
Upgraded pontoons and facilities
A new dog-wash station – a popular feature across Aquavista’s network – has also been added, alongside a series of aesthetic enhancements designed to improve the overall appearance and usability of the site.
“This is a hugely exciting moment for the marina. The transformation has completely elevated the site and created a fantastic environment for our moorers,” said Paula Hewitt, marina manager at Nottingham Castle Waterside & Marina.
“From the upgraded pontoons and facilities to the overall look and feel of the marina, the investment has made a remarkable difference and firmly positions Nottingham Castle Waterside & Marina as one of the region’s premier marinas.”
In addition, as part of the redevelopment, Aquavista has launched residential moorings at Nottingham Castle Waterside & Marina.
“Nottingham Castle Waterside & Marina has always been an exceptional location, combining the energy and convenience of Nottingham city centre with the unique lifestyle that comes from living on the water,” said Debbie Hunt, sales and marketing director at Aquavista.
“This investment has completely transformed the marina and created an outstanding destination for both leisure and residential moorers.
“We’re incredibly proud of the result and excited for customers to experience everything the upgraded marina now offers.”
