Lofrans inaugurates new facilities

Lofrans has inaugurated its new state-of-the-art facilities in Cambiago, Milan.

The move marks a new chapter for the company, enhancing production capabilities and innovation, while coinciding with six decades of presence in the yachting industry.

Lofrans was founded in Monza in 1966 and designs and manufactures a range of windlasses and anchor management solutions.

The company joined the Lalizas Group in 2012 and since then has strengthened its operations and expanded its international presence.

The relocation of Lofrans manufacturing from Monza to Cambiago will boost the company’s efficiency, technological advancement and operations, which it says reflects its vision for the future.

The new facilities provide the company with more space and an optimised production process significantly increasing Lofrans daily capacity.

“This is one of the most significant changes in Lofrans’ 60-year history,” explained George Papoutsis, technical manager, Lofrans and Max Power.

“Our new facilities embody the renewal and ambition of the brand, ready to inspire both partners and enthusiasts alike.”

CEO Stavros Lalizas, added: “When we acquired the company in 2012, we made a clear commitment: to respect the Lofrans name, its heritage, its people and its long-standing partners.

“That commitment was not only to preserve the past, but to build upon it.”

He continued: “Over the years, we have not only honoured the company’s legacy – we have strengthened it, evolved it and positioned it for the future. I still remember admiring the iconic Lofrans’ anchor that the Rivolta family used to have in the factory yard.

“Today, that same anchor has found its rightful place in our new Cambiago facilities – a symbol that unites our past with a promising future.”
