Sanlorenzo APAC launches Sanlorenzo Japan

Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific has launched Sanlorenzo Japan, established a partnership with Shonan Sunny Side Marina Ltd, a yacht brokerage and marina based in Shonan, Yokosuka.

The partnership marks a step in Sanlorenzo’s long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in Japan and deepen relationships with the country’s growing community of high-net-worth yacht customers.

The partnership will begin with the Japan International Boat Show taking place from 19-22 March 2026 in Yokohama.

Sanlorenzo Japan will provide direct brand representation, yacht consultancy, technical expertise and lifecycle service support, delivered through Sunny Side’s marina network and local market knowledge.

Japan is a strategic market with strong long-term potential.

The show will also see the Sanlorenzo SX88 from the brand’s crossover line make its Japanese premiere.

Simpson Marine, part of the Sanlorenzo Group, points out that Japan represents one of Asia’s most promising growth markets for luxury yachting in Asia.

The country has an expanding marina infrastructure and rising interest in premium leisure boating among ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

“Japan is a strategic market with strong long-term potential. Its maritime culture, sophisticated clientele and evolving luxury boating sector align closely with Sanlorenzo’s made-to-measure philosophy,” said Daniele Lucà, CEO of Sanlorenzo APAC.

Next generation of yacht owners

“Partnering with Shonan Sunny Side Marina allows us to combine Sanlorenzo’s global brand strength with trusted local expertise.”

Hiroaki Hashiba, chairman of Shonan Sunny Side Ltd, added: “Japanese clients place great value on craftsmanship, technical precision and long-term service reliability — qualities that define Sanlorenzo yachts.

“We are proud to represent such an iconic yacht builder and look forward to supporting the next generation of yacht owners in Japan.”

Following the Japan International Boat Show, Sanlorenzo APAC will participate in the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit 2026 in Kobe, joining industry leaders to discuss the future development of the superyacht sector across the region.
