French paint and coatings specialists HDS Peintures and SOGERIC have merged, combining their activities within a single entity.
HDS-SOGERIC will focus on the B2B distribution of maintenance products and paints for the marine, yachting, and industrial sectors.
The new operation is designed to simplify purchasing processes, enhance logistics capabilities, and provide greater technical expertise to customers across France.
The merger will strengthen logistics, providing 1,300 square metres of warehouse space and four storage sites across the country, improving stock availability.
A single catalogue will include more than 5,000 items from around 100 brands.
This merger gives us greater resources and responsiveness, while capitalising on our know-how and expertise in paint products.

A staff of 30, including ten Frosio-certified field sales technicians and experts, will provide on technical support, designed to meet the needs of application, surface preparation and procedural compliance.
The new organisation also has a training centre based in Marseille, equipped with a paint booth, covering application, safety and quality training.
“By bringing together HDS Peintures and SOGERIC, we are creating a stronger, more transparent company that is capable of going further in serving our customers, with the same high standards and values,” explained Jean-Nicolas Barral, managing director of VDM-Reya.
Reliable, practical solutions
Florence Teissedre, chief operating officer at HDS-SOGERIC, added: “This merger gives us greater resources and responsiveness, while capitalising on our know-how and expertise in paint products.
“Our priority remains simple: reliable, practical solutions and the highest level of customer satisfaction.”
HDS-SOGERIC is a subsidiary of VDM-Reya, a B2B distributor for the nautical industry in France.
The merger took effect from January 1 2026. The merger plan was originally filed in the relevant courts in November 2025 by HDS PEINTURES and SOGERIC.
