€35 million finance for Yachtline 1618 to expand in international markets

Italian interiors company Yachtline 1618 has received financing of €35 million from Intesa Sanpaolo to continue its growth and consolidation in international markets.

The investment is part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group’s strategy to support Made in Italy excellence and foster growth, innovation, and sustainability for companies that represent Italian manufacturing quality.

Yachtline 1618 was founded in 1994 and operates from four facilities located in Bientina, Genoa, Lugnano, and Vicopisano, with around 250 people directly employed.

The company supplies a number of high-profile clients in the yachting sector, including Azimut Benetti, Sanlorenzo, Lürssen, The Italian Sea Group, and Isa Yacht, with exports accounting for more than 60% of its turnover.

Yachtline 1618 represents a virtuous business model that has successfully combined Tuscan artisanal tradition with technological innovation.

Over the past five years, the company has made significant investments, including in real estate, and consolidating its presence in the main international markets of luxury yachts.

In addition, it has invested in creating interiors for exclusive homes and villas in the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

The financing will enable the company to continue its growth in international markets, supporting the execution of existing orders and the new ongoing investments which Yachtline 1618 says are required to maintain the high quality, technological, and safety standards required by the world’s most prestigious shipyards.

Expansion into foreign markets

“This recent financial transaction consolidates the excellent relationship between Yachtline 1618 and Intesa Sanpaolo and confirms how the bank, with dedicated tools, accompanies and supports the company’s growth.”

The transaction is aimed at supporting four key directions including supporting Yachtline 1618’s expansion into foreign markets and strengthening its  ability to export the craftsmanship of Made in Italy around the world.

In addition, Yachtline 1618 will invest in digital progress and cybersecurity, implementing advanced technological solutions for the digitalisation of production processes and data protection which the company sees as strategic elements for its competitiveness and growth.

The finance will also allow Yachtline 1618 to investment in energy savings and production, with particular attention to environmental sustainability and human well-being.

Technological innovation

The last direction will be the acquisition and retention of companies to consolidate Yachtline 1618’s leadership.

Tito Nocentini, regional director of Tuscany and Umbria for Intesa Sanpaolo, added: “Yachtline 1618 represents a virtuous business model that has successfully combined Tuscan artisanal tradition with technological innovation and the ability to compete on international markets.”

He continued: “Our goal is to support the company with credit, thanks to the €35 million loan, as well as accompany it on a path to sustainable growth, fostering its consolidation on international markets, the promotion of Made in Italy products abroad, and digital and sustainable progress.”
