Catana Group has launched the its first YOT electric catamaran, the YOT 36 Electric, developed in collaboration with its Hungarian dealer, Power & Sail.
Power & Sail operates on Lake Balaton, Central Europe’s largest lake, where regulations allow only electric motorboats.
The dealer used its experience in adapting vessels for electric propulsion and worked with Catana to design a YOT catamaran that was suitable for these conditions.
Catana supported the project with in-house resources, integrating the latest electric systems, while Power and Sail Hungary took care of the installation and the certification.
80km cruising speed range
Together, the partners selected the X Series motors from ePropulsion to power the first YOT 36 Electric.
The YOT 36 Electric is powered by twin 40kW motors and has a top speed of 17km/h. The craft has a cruising speed of 9.5km/h, and delivers a range of more than 80km at cruising speed, extending to around 140km when traveling at 7km/h.
“Customer feedback and local expertise drive our innovation,” said Boris Compagnon, the sales and marketing director of Catana Group.
“The YOT 36 Electric is proof of what’s possible when we listen, adapt, and partner with specialists like Power & Sail.”
