Epsilor Electric Fuel has completed the safety certification of its high energy density 24V and 48V marine batteries.
The company is a developer and manufacturer of smart lithium ion batteries and chargers, originally designed for defence applications.
Electric Fuel’s 48V and 24V marine batteries were tested for using a range of scenarios including: free falls (drops), overcharging, mechanical vibration, mechanical shock, external short-circuiting, and stress on the battery case to qualify for IEC-62133 certification, an international standard for the safety of rechargeable lithium ion batteries.
“Electric Fuel’s 48V batteries provide the high energy and power we need to succeed in racing boat competitions,” explained user Marco Donati, founder at Donati Racing.
Safe li-ion 48V marine batteries are the future.
