Groupe Beneteau acquires service and refit company

Groupe Beneteau has acquired Mediterranean based maintenance, customisation, and refit company BMS.

The company specialises in the service and refit of large Lagoon catamarans, servicing more than 50 at its Canet-en-Roussillon premises each year.

The acquisition is intended to enhance the services and technical support provided to Lagoon owners.

BMS has 14 employees and in 2025 generated revenue of €3.3 million.

The company’s two founders, Pascal Cantiran and Denis Ranjard, are set to remain at the helm to ensure continuity, proximity, and expertise.

Much more than an alliance, this is the meeting of two complementary visions.

The acquisition will expand Lagoon’s global network which already includes seven service centres.

“With the acquisition of BMS, we are taking a new step forward in the development of our service offering,” said Bruno Thivoyon, chairman of Groupe Beneteau executive board.

“This merger illustrates our desire to support our customers throughout the life of their boat.”

Clément Himily, managing director, Sailing Business Unit, added: “This acquisition reinforces our ambition to make Lagoon a global benchmark not only in terms of products and responsible innovation, but also in terms of services and customer support.”

Pascal Cantiran, co-founder of BMS, concluded: “Much more than an alliance, this is the meeting of two complementary visions: Groupe Beneteau’s capacity for innovation and development, and BMS’s local expertise with owners.

“Together, we will redefine the concept of customer service and take it even further.”

Lagoon has built more than 7,000 catamarans, and offers a range of boats from 38 to 82 feet in length.
