Siren Marine launches first cloud-based HVAC remote control

Developer of Connected Boat technology Siren Marine has partnered with Dometic to introduce what is believed to be the marine industry’s first off-boat, cloud-based HVAC control for boats.

The Siren/Dometic connected boat cloud-based HVAC Control will allow boaters to remotely set and control the temperature, and turn on and off the HVAC.

“The cloud-based HVAC control represents a significant step forward in Connected Boat technology,” said Andrew Cullen, director, Connectivity, Yamaha US Marine Business Unit.

“By integrating Siren’s advanced IoT platform with Dometic’s advanced HVAC systems, we’re enabling seamless off-boat control that was not previously possible.”

Continued evolution

The companies say the new HVAC interface represents the continued evolution of connected boat technology, giving boaters more control.

“This innovation demonstrates how connectivity can expand system functionality, laying the groundwork for future integrations that will further transform the way customers and builders think about smart boating,” added Andrew.

The control system is based on the Siren Pro 3 core with features including real-time vessel connectivity, multiple and flexible boat monitoring and tracking functions, and remote digital switching.

The Siren/Dometic connected boat cloud-based HVAC Control will be integrated into the Siren Mobile app and will be ready to go for boats installed with Siren Pro 3 and specific Dometic HVAC systems, including the GTX and GVTX models.
