Greenline Yachts is to introduce a new 42-foot model to its line-up of motor yachts, due for completion in early 2026.
The first Greenline 42 is already in build at the Slovenian shipyard and will have a top speed of 30 knots via a twin 250hp power train.
The vessel’s naval architecture is by Micad, and is designed to reduce drag, while Greenline’s proprietary H-Drive 6G will optimise battery charging and fuel consumption.
Meanwhile, four additional solar panels on the coach roof will bring the total to ten, with a maximum output of 4.1kW to run all hotel appliances and recharge the battery bank faster than on previous models.
Onboard social spaces include an aft cockpit with two different layouts, including features such as a drop-down transom, lowering swim platform and the option of fully removable furniture.

There is also a new foredeck lounge area over the anchor covers, in line with the design of the larger Greenline 58.
“Greenline Yachts believes that fantastic design has no shelf-life, so we don’t seek to constantly update or replace our models,” explained owner and CEO Vladimir Zinchenko.
“When we do finally introduce a new boat, it is therefore no light decision.
“You can be sure that the new Greenline 42 has absorbed every inch of our know-how and will provide a reference in the market for decades to come.
“Timeless, long-lived design is a key part of our Responsible Yachting commitment.”
Three interior styles
Greenline has extended its partnership with Marco Casali who has designed the exterior, and also three interior styles for the new yacht built around a natural colour palette and renewable materials.
In addition, small developments to the classic Greenline interior lay-out have been included such as aft windows by the galley that open.
For the first time, Greenline has included dashboard-style climate controls at the helm station.
Exciting challenge
“The Greenline 42 was an exciting challenge for us. We need to follow the huge success of the other models adding even more comfort on board and a more modern shape respecting our timeless lines,” explained Marco Casali.
“From the interior point of view the big revolution was the full glass ending of the saloon that allows big openings of the galley and creates a strong connection with the cockpit now offered in two versions.
“On the exterior side instead, we tried to connect the modern shape of the new Greenline projects we designed like the 58 with the classic shape that a boat like this is asking for.”
