Castoldi enters limousine segment

Nauta and Castoldi are collaborating on a new Jet Tender 34 Limo with the vessel marking Castoldi’s first venture into the limousine segment.

The tender has been designed exclusively for a fleet of ultra-luxury cruise ships, currently under construction in Italy.

Each ship will carry four Castoldi Jet Tender 34 Limo tenders to deliver a ship-to-shore service together with two customised Jet Tender 28 SV serving as support vessels and luggage carriers.

“This project represents a new chapter for Castoldi that expands our offerings to new markets, while maintaining the commitment to innovation, quality, and luxury we are known for,” said Giacomo Castoldi, CEO of Castoldi.

“The opportunity arose to enter the limousine tender market with a semi-serial product that fully embodies our construction philosophy of creating optimised vessels rather than one-offs.

“We needed the perfect design partner for this, and Nauta was the obvious choice.”

Guido Valtorta, director at Nauta, added: “We were thrilled to push the boundaries of what is possible in tender design.

“Typically, limousine tenders are custom-made for large yachts, but this project allowed us to merge bespoke luxury with the efficiency of semi-serial production.

“This is a truly unique solution in the tender market and we’re very happy to work with Castoldi for the new Jet Tender 34 Limo.”

Functional and luxurious

Tender features include multiple boarding options from the stern, amidships and the bow, a  configurable cockpit, offering a range of seating arrangements, wrap-around windows, and a dual-purpose pantry and toilet area.

“We wanted to create a tender that was not only functional but also subtly luxurious,” explained Guido.

“Our goal was to strike the perfect balance between technical innovation and Italian style, ensuring that the design remains timeless yet perfectly suited to the modern demands of the luxury yachting world.”

The Castoldi Jet Tender 34 Limo is powered by Castoldi’s proprietary waterjet propulsion and ACES electronic control system, designed to provide manoeuvrability, safety and performance.

Performing at the highest level

Additional tender features include a hidden ventilation systems within the rub rail to help to push mechanical noise outward, air conditioning that can cool the cabin to a comfortable temperature in under 15 minutes.

“This collaboration between Castoldi and Nauta has ensured that the design didn’t just look beautiful but performed at the highest level,” explained Luca Taccani, commercial director at Castoldi.

“We’ve integrated technical systems in a way that enhances both comfort and aesthetics, creating an experience where innovation and luxury go hand-in-hand.”

The customisable platform can be evolved to suit different configurations, including Open Limo and Support Vessel versions.

The hull mould is complete with the first unit of the Castoldi Jet Tender 34 Limo scheduled for delivery at the end of 2025.

Castoldi will show the project at the Monaco Yacht Show later this year.
