Molabo, manufacturer of 48-volt electric propulsion systems, has appointed De Stille Boot as its Netherlands distributor, strengthening Molabo’s European expansion.
Molabo says the Netherlands’ rich sailing tradition, and the wide variety of boats in the country makes the market ideally suited for its flexible 48V systems.
Molabo’s fully integrated ARIES 30-50kW inboard and outboard electric propulsion systems deliver powerful, low-voltage propulsion, enabled by the company’s patented ISCAD technology.
ARIES systems offer energy management, remote maintenance and service, range extenders via renewable energy sources or generators, and compatibility with battery packs from leading manufacturers.
We see great potential for Molabo’s 48-volt technology in both newbuilds and conversions.
Anton van Wijk
“We see great potential for Molabo’s 48-volt technology in both newbuilds and conversions, as it can power a wide range of vessels that are highly suitable for electrification,” said Anton van Wijk of De Stille Boot.
“There’s a twin installation powering an 84-passenger solar-electric passenger boat, but the same engine can also power an ultra-fast, lightweight Formula 4 racing boat.
“Molabo’s systems have proven to be safe, easy to maintain and repair, and ultra-reliable, with thousands of operational hours already in the field.”
Dutch electric boating market
Adrian Patzak, COO of Molabo, added: “We are delighted to welcome De Stille Boot to the Molabo partner network.
“Their technical expertise, customer focus, and deep roots in the Dutch electric boating market make them the ideal partner to bring our technology to more boats and waterways throughout the Netherlands.”
The new partnership is effective immediately.
De Stille Boot will provide system consultations, sales, and service.
